One of the mods for sounds (Sounds of Skyrim) never would work with CoT, so I had to get rid of it.ĭefinitely check your load order with LOOT.

Climates of Tamriel is very picky about sound. I'd have to guess that the OP's problem is related to one of the sound mods being corrupted, or even more likely, installed in the wrong load order. That fixed my problems with my game, especially the standing right in front of a NPC and not being able to hear a word they're saying, but then turn to the side and they're good and loud. I've noticed the problem because when someon behind me spoke I didn't hear nothing.Īfter removing the hometheater and configuring the PC to output 2.0 only, the game worked properly. Somehow, Skyrim detects is the sound is 2.0 (stereo) or 5.1 and configures itself to work that way.
